Kelly Clarkson songs

chubblesschelsea:

They’re all about hating men.

Except for Miss Independent, Breakaway, Because of You, My Life Suck Without You, Already Gone…geez, I guess they’re not ALL about “hating men”.  And those are just the singles.

I think you don’t understand what those words mean.  Or you’re blind.

Kelly Clarkson concert - San Jose, CA, 3/27

Went to the Kelly Clarkson concert last night and it was incredible.  I’ve been a fan since Day 1 and have seen her a few times in the past.  She never fails to put on a good show because she always sounds so good live and she really interacts with the audience as if they’re her friends.  Last night was no exception.  She kept the crowd on their feet through most of the night, even through the ballads, and her hit songs were basically massive sing-alongs with a lot of jumping and dancing.

Most memorable moments:

Never Again, ballad version.  I was completely mesmerized!
Already Gone with the acapella beginning
My Life Would Suck — she always sounds so good on this song live
Florence and the Machine cover.  Dramatic, perfect vocals, and great song.
I Forgive You
Since You Been Gone (so much fun to jump to!)
the mash-up of Mr. Know It all and Miss Independent

I was just thinking that her concerts would still be fun for anyone, not just fans, as long as you listen to the radio.  She has SO many singles and hits that 80%+ of her setlist are songs that anyone, who hasn’t lived under a rock the past decade, would know.

All in all, a fantastic night.

Wow. This pisses me off. She snuck her way into country music with Jason Aldean and now she has become closer with Blake and Miranda…did she realize that country music is really the ONLY genre people can survive in? Or the fact that two American Idol winners and a runner up are INCREDIBLE country…

Her putting out a couple of country cross-over songs doesn’t mean she’s “gone country” despite what some articles would say.  She’s made it clear that she doesn’t plan on putting out a strictly country album; she would do collaborations, but not a solo country album.  Her cross-over songs are equivalent to some country artists, including another Idol country winner, who put out songs to Pop radio.  It’s just smart.  Also, she’s said from the very beginning that she’s a huge fan of country and that Reba is one of her idols.  Even before Jason Aldean, she was singing with Reba and even doing a co-headlining tour with her.  It’s not like she just suddenly decided to dabble in the country world.

Does Kelly Clarkson ever sing about topics other than being single and loving it?

yes.  check out her discography.

Andrea, the only reason you were able to find the will to live is because Dale took away your choice to die, and then luckily you finally got it through your head that you can’t just keep on playing the victim all the time. So please don’t act like you did it all on your own. You would have never…

Although I don’t agree with all of Lori’s viewpoint, I don’t think what she and the other women do are useless chores.  Providing food, clean clothes, and a home are important things for survival, even in and maybe especially in an apocalypse.  I didn’t like that Lori thinks Andrea is being useless (“getting a tan”), but I don’t agree with Andrea that Lori is “playing house” either.  That viewpoint that keeping a home is somehow inferior work compared to the men who bring home the bacon (or in this case, killing the walkers) is also sexist.
